St. John's Weekend in Greenville

Wow, what a weekend! That may be as deep as I am going to be able to get right away. It has been an intensive weekend of prayers, friends, catechism, ecumenical dialogue and worship with St. Paul’s Free Methodist Church and many students from Greenville College, Sunday morning prayers, more teachings, food, and lots of good fellowship.

"Active waiting implies being fully present to the moment with the conviction that something is happening where we are and that we want to be present to it. A waiting person is someone who is present to the moment, believing that this moment is the moment."

- Henri Nouwen

Dear Eric and Carrie,
Thanks so much for everything last weekend. The only thing that would have made it any better is if the Colts would have won, but seeing as how you have no control over stuff like that…
Anyway, it’s always good seeing you guys. And it was really nice getting to meet the folks over at St. Paul's.
Cheers...

Last weekend was truly a blessing! Thanks for hosting, and I'm greatly looking forward to seeing what the Lord will do with your family and our efforts there. May His perfect will be done in all of our lives. Love you guys! See you soon!

Josh and Luke it was so good to have you guys down, and Jon I wish you and your family could have been here as well.

It was a great weekend, and the Lord seems to be continuing a work here in Greenville. Who would have thought. It is good to see familiar faces like Ian and Randy, as well as to see new faces like we did on Sunday.

I gave Fr. Joseph and Luke more detailed feedback from Saturday night, which you can talk to them about, however I will say that we have been invited back again to do Great Vespers in March, and I believe there is openness to helping support a "Orthodox Community" here in Greenville.

Lord Have Mercy! Lead and Guide Us!
